Strategy: Last purchase of Bitcoin: 705 BTC purchased for $75 million
Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy), the proxy company for Bitcoin ($BTC ) led by Michael Saylor, has made headlines again with its latest acquisition of the leading cryptocurrency in the market.
In a presentation on Monday to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the company revealed that it purchased an additional 705 BTC between May 26 and June 1, bringing its total holdings to 580,955 coins.
The strategy continues with the wave of Bitcoin purchases
This recent acquisition had a total cost of $75.1 million, which is approximately $106,495 per Bitcoin. In total, Strategy's investments in Bitcoin currently amount to approximately $40.68 billion, with an average of $70,023 per token.
Strategy's shares, MSTR, rose 0.9% to $372.72, while the overall market showed mixed results, with the S&P 500 and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite gaining 0.4% and 0.7%, respectively.
