CME Reports Significant Growth in Cryptocurrency Futures Trading
According to Odaily, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) has released data for May, highlighting a notable increase in futures contract trading volumes. The platform recorded an average daily trading volume of 28.9 million contracts, with cryptocurrency contracts experiencing a 145% rise in daily trading volume.
Ethereum futures contracts saw an average daily trading volume of 17,000 contracts. Additionally, micro Ethereum futures contracts experienced a 235% increase, reaching an average daily trading volume of 92,000 contracts. Micro Bitcoin futures contracts also grew by 95%, with an average daily trading volume of 65,000 contracts.
