Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has publicly denied reports that the company made a $10–$20 billion offer to acquire Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin.

Earlier reports suggested that Ripple had made an initial bid of $4–$5 billion to acquire Circle, which was rejected as too low . Subsequent rumors claimed that Ripple increased its offer to $20 billion . However, Garlinghouse has dismissed these claims, stating that Ripple did not pursue such an acquisition at the reported valuations.

Circle remains focused on its plans for an initial public offering (IPO) and has not indicated any intention to be acquired.
