According to Foresight News, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed concerns on the Truth Social platform about China's tough stance, describing it as 'extremely difficult to reach an agreement.' This comes as senior White House officials suggest that the leaders of the two nations might hold a phone call this week.

Both countries have accused each other of violating a trade agreement reached on May 12 in Switzerland, which was intended to suspend most tariffs for 90 days. China has not significantly eased its restrictions on rare earth exports, while the United States continues to impose measures limiting China's access to advanced technology and has announced the revocation of Chinese student visas.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Besent acknowledged that the negotiations have 'stalled somewhat' and indicated that direct intervention by the leaders of both countries might be necessary to resolve the issues.
