Tether has launched the omni-chain version of its 'gold' stablecoin XAUt on the TON blockchain. The new token is called XAUt0. It is created according to the LayerZero standard. The token can be moved between networks without prior 'wrapping'.

Over 7.7 tons of physical gold has been allocated for XAUt, which is stored in Switzerland. Each token is equivalent to one troy ounce. XAUt0 will expand the use of gold across different blockchain ecosystems.
