The prominent meme coin project on Solana – BONK – has officially stepped into the gaming world with its debut product Bonk Arena, an arcade shooting game using the 'pay-to-spawn, win-to-earn' model, where each life has value.
BONK Arena: Pay to play – Kill enemies to earn money
Developed by Bravo Ready studio (famous for the game BR1: Infinite), Bonk Arena is a top-down shooting game, operating directly in the browser or the Phantom wallet app – the popular Solana wallet. To participate, players need to pay 10,000 (~0.17 USD) each time they respawn, and if they eliminate an opponent, they will receive the corresponding amount of BONK from that opponent.
The game applies transaction fees ranging from 0% to 10%, while distributing rewards from a $10,000 BONK fund sponsored by the project team. Game content creators on social media can also receive rewards from this pool.
Blockchain integration, enhancing value for BONK
All activities such as resurrection and destruction are recorded on the blockchain, creating significant on-chain trading volume for BONK. Bravo Ready stated they will continuously update the game, adding unlockable characters, level rewards, and loot boxes to enhance competitiveness.
Notably, 50% of the game's revenue will be used to burn BONK, reward players, and contribute to the Bonk for Paws charity fund. The remaining 50% will be used to buy back READY tokens – the native token of the Real Money Gaming model that Bonk Arena is using under a license from Ready.
Bonk: From meme coin to a symbol of Solana's recovery
Born amid the post-FTX crisis, BONK initially was just a meme coin used to connect the community. However, thanks to the breakthrough of this ecosystem, BONK has become a symbol of trust, with many auxiliary products like BONKbot, BONK Swap, and Bonk.fun.
Now, with the token, it continues to assert its position by providing real value and an engaging gaming experience – both entertaining and profitable.
Note: Investing in cryptocurrencies and related blockchain products always carries high risks. Users should carefully consider before participating.
