The humanitarian aid organization World Vision Korea is the first non-profit organization to sell cryptocurrencies in South Korea after the country introduced new rules on institutional cryptocurrency trading.

, for an approximate value of 1.98 million won (1,436 dollars) on Upbit, according to a statement from June 1 by Dunamu, the parent company of the cryptocurrency exchange.
The Ether, which was held by President Myung-hwan, was donated as a result of a campaign held in March in which Upbit users were asked to donate cryptocurrencies to help disadvantaged youth who cannot afford school items such as uniforms and backpacks.
