It is likely that the Taiwanese cryptocurrency trading platform BitoPro was hacked on May 8, 2025, and approximately $11.5 million was stolen.
The attack targeted active wallets across multiple blockchains and the stolen assets were laundered through the Tornado Cash and Thorchain platforms.
Despite the incident, BitoPro has not publicly confirmed the breach, attributing the service interruption to "maintenance".
