However, the platform’s claim of using “Bitcoin-style encryption” has raised eyebrows. Experts point out that Bitcoin’s cryptographic model significantly differs from that of secure messaging systems. They warn that the term is misleading, as it doesn’t accurately represent Bitcoin’s underlying cryptography. Moreover, XChat has yet to release technical details clarifying how its encryption actually works.
