PANews June 2 news, according to AXIOS reports, informed sources revealed that Apple (AAPL.O) will appeal against the EU's requirement to share information with technology competitors. This move is part of a regulation under the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA), which requires the company to comply with its interoperability requirements, forcing Apple to share user information with external developers. Apple continues to strongly push back against the demands imposed by the DMA, stating that these requirements force it to give up its own intellectual property and harm user privacy. According to previous media reports, Apple and Meta Platforms (META.O) were among the first companies impacted by the DMA in April this year. An Apple spokesperson stated, "The technology we design can work seamlessly together, providing a unique experience that users love and expect. The EU's interoperability requirements threaten this foundation while creating an unreasonable, costly, and innovation-stifling process."
