Exploring the Security Mechanism of WalletConnect
Security is the top priority in the design of WalletConnect. In terms of data transmission, the end-to-end encryption of the Relay service ensures that sensitive information such as user addresses and transaction hashes will not be leaked. Private keys are always stored in the user's local wallet, and DApps cannot access them, effectively eliminating the risk of private key theft from the source.
Network nodes participate in operation by staking WCT tokens. If a node performs poorly, such as failing to meet online rate standards or having excessive latency, it will be penalized or even “imprisoned.” This effectively prevents malicious nodes from compromising network security. The entire security mechanism takes a multi-faceted approach, building a solid security defense for users' activities in the Web3 world.
