#CEXvsDEX101
When I first started trading, I relied entirely on centralized exchanges (CEXs) like Binance for their ease of use ā , customer support š¬, and high liquidity š§. Over time, I began exploring decentralized exchanges (DEXs) for the control they offer over assets š and the transparency of on-chain trading š.
CEXs are great for beginners because they offer:
ā Fiat gateways
ā Faster execution
ā Advanced trading tools š
But DEXs, such as Uniswap or PancakeSwap, give users:
ā Full custody of their crypto
ā No need to trust a third party
ā ļø Higher slippage
ā ļø Lower liquidity
ā ļø More complex UI
Personally, I use CEXs for active trading š and DEXs for accessing new tokens early š. Diversifying between both has improved my flexibility and reduced platform risk š”ļø.
Which one do you prefer and why? š¤
