May was a solid month for NFTs: 1) CryptoPunks and Moonbirds acquisitions turned out to be bullish. 2) Other big bluechip projects with a slight move downwards (but still up in USD). 3) Abstract collections with a breakout in the broader space, some new mints that performed well (Monstersdotfun, Dreamilio, etc). 4) Kaito Genesis and Good Vibes Club had a very good month, establishing themselves in the top league. 5) In terms of volume, Opensea dominates, mainly due to OS2 as a product and more recently with the revision of the XP system. MagicEden is also showing some strength after Ordinals made a brief comeback in mid-May. What will June bring?

Many people have lost touch with reality and it shows. Imagine telling someone outside of crypto that you made $3k USD in 48 hours by posting the word "loudio" on X a few times. That would be considered a huge success, a lot of people have to work a whole month for that amount. And yet here some of you are calculating the dollar cost per post 😭

Nothing lasts forever in crypto (but it often lasts longer than you think). During the 2021/22 NFT run, it felt like everything was only going to get bigger and bigger. The metaverse was imminent, celebrities were buying our bags and promoting it on national TV. But then it stopped. The memecoin run in 2024/25 also felt like it would last forever. "Memecoin supercycle" Murad preached multi-trillion dollar valuations. And then Trump launched his own coin, it felt like "we're just getting started" (wink). Then came Melania's coin, the whole Libra debacle and within days the run was over. In 2022, I didn't see the top coming. In 2024, I anticipated the top, but did that too soon. TLDR is every meta, no matter how bullish it may look at the moment and how big it seems to be getting, will end sooner or later. It's impossible to time the top perfectly, but you can get better at it the more of them you experience
