RedStone is an advanced oracle platform for blockchain, designed to securely, cost-effectively, and customizably bring real-world data into smart contracts. In the rapidly evolving Web3 landscape, decentralized finance (DeFi) applications increasingly require reliable data sources – especially price data. RedStone is the solution to this demand, currently supporting over 1,250 assets across more than 70 different blockchain networks.

How RedStone Works

RedStone operates on a modular architecture, separating the two components: data collection and data distribution. This enhances scalability and optimizes performance across multiple networks. RedStone's data is sourced from various reliable sources, processed to ensure accuracy before being used by DApps (decentralized applications).

1. Data feed

RedStone obtains price information from cryptocurrency exchanges and other blockchains, then processes it to eliminate noise, ensuring the data is accurate and verifiable.

2. Data provisioning models

RedStone provides 4 main models for retrieving data into smart contracts:

• Pull model: DApp only retrieves data when needed, saving costs as continuous updates are not required.

• Push model: Data is continuously updated on-chain, suitable for real-time transactions.

• Model X: Increases security, preventing front-running attacks by locking prices used in a transaction.

• Hybrid model: Combines push + pull, standardized in ERC-7412, allowing DApps to save costs while ensuring access to the latest data.

AVS – RedStone's Active Verification Service

In 2025, RedStone will launch AVS (Active Verification Service) – a proactive verification system based on EigenLayer and restaking mechanisms. AVS uses validators to verify data accuracy before publishing it on the blockchain, helping to prevent data manipulation and increase reliability.

Additionally, RedStone utilizes Arweave to store off-chain data in the form of cryptographically signed records, ensuring that past data cannot be altered or faked.

Real-world applications of RedStone

RedStone provides data for various sectors in DeFi:

1. Decentralized lending: Providing real-time price data to accurately calculate collateral and loan limits.

2. Perpetual futures trading: Supports accurate pricing and settlement at market rates for derivatives platforms.

3. Staking and Yield Farming: Helps compute staking rewards based on reliable price data.

4. Stablecoins and price-pegged assets: Ensures stable peg rates using real exchange rate data.

5. Multi-chain applications: Thanks to multi-network compatibility, RedStone is the optimal choice for Web3 projects operating cross-chain.

RED Token – The heart of the RedStone ecosystem

RED is the native token of RedStone, deployed under the ERC-20 standard on Ethereum, supporting multi-chain expansion through Wormhole. The total supply is capped at 1 billion tokens, of which 30% has been distributed at launch.

Key roles of the RED token:

• Staking: Both data providers and users can stake RED to secure the network and earn rewards.

• Rewards: RED stakers can receive other tokens like ETH, BTC, USDC, or SOL from data usage activities.

• Decentralization: RED facilitates fair and transparent coordination of activities within the oracle system.

Token allocation structure:

• 10%: Initial community

• 10%: Development support

• 20%: Development team

• 28.3%: Data providers

• 31.7%: Early investors

(Note: 70% of tokens are locked and will be gradually unlocked over 4 years)

Summary

RedStone is emerging as a modern, flexible, and secure oracle solution for the Web3 era. With a modular architecture, AVS support, customizable data models, and multi-chain integration, RedStone not only meets current demands but is also ready to scale for the future of DeFi. If you are a developer or a builder of blockchain projects, RedStone is an option worth integrating and exploring further.
