Saudi Arabia is building a stadium like no other — and it’s set to host the FIFA World Cup in 2034.
The King Salman International Stadium will seat 92,000 people, making it the largest stadium in the country once completed in 2029. Located in northern Riyadh, the project is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aimed at transforming the kingdom into a global hub for sports and entertainment.
Designed by architecture firm Populous, the stadium takes inspiration from Saudi landscapes. The structure resembles a giant seed emerging from the earth, wrapped in green walls and rooftops. A panoramic rooftop walkway will offer views of the nearby King Abdulaziz Park, blending the stadium into its natural surroundings.
But it’s not just about looks — the stadium will be packed with world-class amenities:
– 150-seat royal suite
– 120 hospitality suites
– 300 VVIP seats
– 2,200 VIP seats
– Olympic-size swimming pool
– Indoor sports halls
– Commercial spaces
– On-site training and fitness facilities
The stadium is also designed to integrate with Riyadh’s public transit system and sits near King Khalid International Airport for easy access to global visitors.
The total cost of the project is estimated at $2.1 billion. #TradingTypes101
Once finished, it will become the new home of the Saudi national football team and serve as a centerpiece of the 2034 World Cup.
