🌹The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Jie, is a traditional Chinese celebration that takes place on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month.
The Dragon Boat Festival commemorates the death of the poet and politician Qu Yuan, who threw himself into the Miluo River to protest against corruption and injustice. The villagers launched dragon boats to save him and threw rice dumplings to feed the fish.
