Five foundations have urged Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in an open letter to release human rights defenders of Balochistan and to end the "suppression of their opponents."
The letter also states, "Pakistani authorities must systematically cease targeting and harassing members of the Baloch Unity Committee (BYC), as this is a peaceful movement that has gathered thousands of people in support of justice and accountability and to end enforced disappearances."
This request comes at a time when some members of the 'Baloch Unity Committee' (BYC), including Mahirang Baloch and Bebo Baloch, have been imprisoned in Pakistan since last April.
