According to economist Saifedean Ammous, USDT (Tether) has the potential to be much more profitable than the very U.S. dollar itself. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if it even surpasses its value in the future. Ammous, who as you know is a strong advocate of Bitcoin, believes that if Tether is increasingly backed by Bitcoin instead of just dollars or U.S. Treasury bonds, its value will skyrocket.

My reasoning is simple: as the dollar is printed uncontrollably and its value is inflated, Bitcoin, with its limited and programmed supply, will continue to appreciate. If Tether aligns with this and maintains significant backing in Bitcoin, its value will have no choice but to rise, breaking that 1:1 parity with the dollar. For me, this would turn USDT into a superior monetary standard, offering much greater returns against the inevitable inflation of the dollar. Ammous sees it as the "endgame" for the dollar, and so do I.
