The U.S. Court of International Trade unanimously ruled that the country's president, Donald Trump, exceeded his authority by imposing tariffs on dozens of countries, justifying this by declaring a state of emergency.
The decision concerns tariffs of 25% on goods from Canada and Mexico, 20% on Chinese goods, as well as a 10% tariff on all U.S. trading partners with the aim of addressing the trade deficit. Additionally, 'reciprocal tariffs' of 20-50% for 60 countries, which were set to take effect in July, were canceled.
Recall that in early April 2025, Trump initiated a major package of tariffs, and just a week later raised rates on Chinese goods but softened the policy against most other countries.
I expect a recovery of the crypto market 🥳
