$1BILLION USD WORTH OF CRYPTO LIQUIDATED IN THE LAST 24H 20250814 Over $1 billion leveraged crypto positions were liquidated were across various crypto exchanged. This was a reaction to the U.S. Producer Price Index (PPI) report, which showed a hotter-than-expected rise in producer prices. Approximately $782 million of the liquidations were "long" positions. This means traders were betting on prices to rise, but the market's downturn forced the closure of their positions. Largest Single Liquidation was a $6.25 million ETH/USDT position on the Bybit exchange. The market movements that triggered these liquidations caused a decline in the prices of major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin ($BTC ) and Ethereum ($ETH ). Bitcoin's price fell by more than 2%.
