Elon Musk withdraws from Trump administration after fiery clash over spending bill 🔥🇺🇸
In a surprising move, the famous billionaire Elon Musk 🌍🚀 announced his withdrawal from his position as a senior advisor in President Donald Trump's 🏛️ administration, following a public dispute over a spending bill proposed by Trump.
Since the beginning of Trump's second term in January, Musk led the Department of Government Efficiency "DOGE" 🐶, which aimed to reduce the size of the federal government and improve the effectiveness of public spending 💸. Musk expressed gratitude to the president for the opportunity he was given, writing:
> "The mission of @DOGE will grow over time... and we will turn efficiency into a way of life in all state institutions."
As a private employee, Musk was allowed to work for 130 days a year, which he reached by the end of May. As the term came to an end, Musk's statements criticizing the new spending bill emerged, as he stated in an interview with CBS 📺 (to be aired on June 1) that the law "undermines everything we achieved in DOGE" ❌📉.
Elon Musk, known for leading Tesla, SpaceX, and xAI 🤖, clarified that he intends to refocus on his tech and innovative projects 🚗🛰️. This return to the business world comes after a period marked by radical changes within the administration, from cuts in spending to dismantling government agencies.
