🇺🇸US Court Halts Most of Trump’s New Tariffs
On May 28, 2025, the U.S. Court of International Trade blocked most tariffs imposed by the Trump administration since January, ruling that the president exceeded constitutional authority, as trade powers are reserved for Congress.
➖ All tariffs under IEEPA (emergency economic powers) are permanently banned.
➖ The administration has 10 days to issue compliant orders.
➖ An appeal has been filed by the White House.
➖ Sector-specific tariffs (steel, aluminum, autos) remain unaffected, upheld on separate legal grounds.
