What is RWA (Real World Assets)

RWA refers to an asset portfolio plan that labels and trades real-world assets such as savings and loans, bonds, secondary entity claims, physical funds, and real estate on the chain, giving DeFi the ability to maintain operations.

As of May 2025, the total scale of on-chain RWA reached US$15.4 billion (excluding stablecoins), an increase of 80% year-on-year.
