The virtue of deeds during the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: (There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days.) They asked: Not even jihad? He said: (Not even jihad, except for a man who goes out risking his life and wealth, and does not return with anything.)

📖 #Explanation_of_the_Hadith 🖌
From the mercy of Allah, the Exalted, to His servants is that He has blessed them with blessed days, in which He multiplies their rewards and grants them abundant rewards; out of His mercy and generosity, including: the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.
In this Hadith, the Prophet (peace be upon him) guides to the virtue of righteous deeds in the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, and clarifies that the reward for righteous deeds therein is multiplied beyond what is multiplied in other days; therefore, a Muslim should take advantage of them and increase in acts of obedience, and among the greatest acts of obedience therein is the remembrance of Allah, the Exalted.
● And the greatest form of remembrance is reciting the Quran, and saying Takbir, Tahleel, and Tahmid. In Musnad Ahmad and others, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "There are no days greater in the sight of Allah, nor more beloved to Him for good deeds than these ten days; so increase in them your Takbeer, Tahleel, and Tahmid."
● Righteous actions include obligatory acts, duties, and all acts of goodness and charity, as well as voluntary acts of worship; such as prayer, charity, fasting, especially the fast of the Day of Arafah. Every obligatory act performed in the ten days is better than an obligatory act performed at other times, and likewise, voluntary acts in the ten days are better than voluntary acts at other times. It also includes abandoning prohibitions and evils; whoever refrains from sinning in these days surely earns a reward greater than refraining from sinning at other times.
● The companions, may Allah be pleased with them, asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about jihad during the other ten days; is righteous action in them also superior? Their question specifically about jihad was due to their understanding that it is one of the best deeds; thus, the days of Dhul-Hijjah were weighed against it. The Prophet (peace be upon him) answered: Yes; righteous deeds in these days are better than jihad in other days, except for a man who goes out risking his life and wealth in the way of Allah, and loses his wealth and his soul is spilled in the way of Allah; this jihad in this form is what is superior to righteous deeds in these blessed days, and this is a declaration of the greatness of his jihad and an exaltation of it, as he has reached a status that is hardly comparable in honor to the honor of days and times and their lack of honor.
👈 The apparent meaning of this Hadith is that these ten days are better than the last ten days of Ramadan.
#It is said that the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are the best days, and the ten nights of Ramadan are the best nights; due to the presence of the Night of Decree therein.
#And in the Hadith:
⊙ A declaration of the immense virtue of the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah over other days of the year.
⊙ It emphasizes the importance of martyrdom in the way of Allah and the sacrifice of both life and wealth, as this is the highest rank of jihad.
⊙ It indicates that lesser actions during a virtuous time are equivalent to superior actions at other times.
