On Thursday evening, 220 of the most loyal holders of the official $TRUMP meme coin gathered at Trump’s National Golf Club in Washington, D.C., for an exclusive dinner with the former president. The aim? To witness Trump speak about the future of crypto and, perhaps, receive some insider insights. But the outcome left attendees divided.

🌟 High Hopes, Mixed Results

The mood was electric — Bitcoin had just hit a new all-time high, and attendees expected something big. Influencer Nicholas Pinto, who had invested over $320,000 in Trump Coin, arrived after a four-and-a-half-hour traffic jam — just in time.

While the top 25 investors, who had spent on average $4.8 million each, were seated at VIP tables in front, others were placed at the back. Gift bags with hats, posters, and a plastic "celebration card" were handed out — more fan merch than serious investor perks.

🚁 Trump Arrives, Briefly

Trump landed via helicopter, made a brief appearance with the VIPs, and later entered the main room for a 23-minute speech. He spoke about crypto resilience and American innovation, affirming that the U.S. must lead in digital finance. But there were no major announcements.

📸 No Photos, No Autographs, No Trump at the Table

Despite promises, most attendees didn’t get close to Trump. No selfies, no signatures. “The event felt more like a campaign performance than actual networking,” one guest said.

Some were thrilled just to see Trump live. Others were left disappointed. “I had my phone and wallets ready, waiting for some alpha — but there was nothing,” said another attendee.

🥩 Million-Dollar Meal? More Like Fast Food

One of the biggest complaints was the food. Guests expected gourmet fare but received what Pinto called “an overcooked cheap steak.”

“If Trump had stayed, maybe the food would’ve been better. But this felt like something from a bulk order at McDonald's,” he joked.

🛡️ Low Security, High Caution

Another surprise was the lack of strict security. “I’ve gone through tougher checks before,” Pinto noted. Many guests avoided cameras, hiding their faces — creating a stiff, formal atmosphere.

🎁 Raffle? Only the Elite Won

Six limited-edition Trump watches were raffled. Four were automatically reserved for top holders — including crypto billionaire Justin Sun. The other two were randomly drawn. Pinto didn’t win. “But that wouldn’t have changed my view anyway,” he added.

🚨 Protests and Political Concerns

Outside the venue, over 100 protesters gathered, denouncing “corruption in crypto.” Critics raised concerns about foreign influence through crypto donations, especially with meme coins potentially being used as backdoor political contributions.

🧾 In Summary: A Show for Some, a Letdown for Others

Trump’s crypto dinner clearly split the community. While some were thrilled to witness the former president in person, others left feeling let down by broken expectations, mediocre food, and lack of engagement.

As Pinto summed it up:

“They told us we’d dine with the 47th president. In the end, we were just props.”
