Recently came across zkLink's new roadmap, it's clear they're not just making a 'cross-chain protocol'.
What they aim to build is an AI-driven cross-chain trading network —
permissionless, with no protocol fees, and transactions can be completed directly peer-to-peer.
Cross-chain asset transfers, pricing, and matching will all be handled automatically by AI.
In simple terms, they want to make the cross-chain experience as smooth as it is on a single chain,
without the need to switch chains, change bridges, or run through aggregators.
From the roadmap, it doesn't seem extravagant:
They plan to complete the white paper release, PoC testing, and open-source protocol by 2025,
entering global Alpha/Beta testing in 2026, focusing on node validation and building the developer ecosystem.
Their mainnet, zkLink Nova, is already live, supporting the aggregation of multiple L2 assets.
The funding background is also solid: well-known institutions such as Coinbase Ventures, Crypto.com, Republic, SIG, etc., have participated.
The token $ZKL has listed on several leading CEXs.
Currently, the project doesn't have much hype or narrative, nor any airdrop gimmicks,
it's following the path of 'protocol first, module building, with liquidity gradually closing the loop'.
This time, zkLink aims to do more than just a cross-chain channel,
it's more like redefining the way transactions occur between chains.
It's worth keeping an eye on, and it's not too late to decide whether to participate once they take their next steps.
