🚨The 🇺🇸U.S. SEC Crypto Working Group #recently met with Nasdaq, Plume Network, and Etherealize to explore securities tokenization on public blockchains. proposals included:
🔹Nasdaq: Launch a new ATS-Digital trading venue for digital securities and commodity tokens.
🔹#Plume Network: Align DeFi protocols with securities laws (built on Arbitrum).
🔹Etherealize: Modernize transfer agent rules to accept blockchain-based shareholder registries.
All parties proposed a regulatory #sandbox pilot. The SEC will now review sandbox frameworks, specialized trading venues, and potential rule updates. Notably, SEC Commissioner Mark Uyeda supports the sandbox model.
