🚨IS AI GOING TO KILL JOURNALISM OR GIVE IT A BOOST?

AI is creeping into newsrooms and everyone is holding their breath.

Some people think it will steal jobs and fill headlines with nonsense.

But a study from Denmark says AI has not kicked reporters to the curb yet. It is more of a sidekick than a supervillain.

Still a Pew survey shows that most Americans are worried.

They think AI could ruin news and take jobs away from real people.

Even college grads are biting their nails over it.

Republicans and Democrats for once agree that AI could make things worse in the news world.

But here is the twist.

Reporters are already using AI to chase big stories.

The Wall Street Journal used it to read thousands of Elon's tweets.

The Washington Post used it to challenge military claims in Gaza.

Other projects dug through old records to reveal buried truths from the past.

The key is that reporters still do the thinking and the writing.

AI is more of a magnifying glass than a typewriter.

So while it is fine to be wary of AI in the newsroom it might just make good reporters even better.
