♦️ Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre confirmed on Monday that the Scandinavian countries stand "in solidarity" with Denmark and Greenland in the face of U.S. President Donald Trump's threats to acquire the self-governing Danish territory.
♦️ Støre said, addressing the Prime Minister of Greenland during a meeting of the Prime Ministers of the Scandinavian countries in the Finnish city of Turku: "You can be completely assured that we stand by you and Denmark in full solidarity."
♦️ He added: "The Arctic is an organized area, and the law of the sea applies; the responsibility lies with the coastal states, and we will stand by any community that feels these values are under pressure."
