U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson is pressuring the Senate to make as few changes as possible to the large-scale spending and tax cut plan passed by the House last week in order to advance President Donald Trump's agenda. He warned that if senators make significant changes, they could send the bill back to a version that cannot pass the House again. Johnson said in an interview: "We have reached a very delicate balance here, a delicate equilibrium that has taken a long time to achieve, and it is best not to interfere too much."
