According to HashWorld News, Indian tech startup Data Sutram has completed a $9 million Series A funding round, co-led by B Capital and Lightspeed Ventures. This round of funding includes primary and secondary capital and will help the company expand beyond the banking sector into cryptocurrencies, gaming, e-commerce, quick commerce, and insurance, as well as accelerate its AI product development and international expansion plans in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Data Sutram's platform uses AI and over 250 external data sources to help banks, NBFCs, and other financial service providers monitor synthetic identities, map collusion networks, and prevent the creation of 'mule accounts'.
