🧨 Vitalik Buterin Responds to Criticism: "If You Don’t Like It, Sell Your ETH
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has once again stirred up the crypto space with a bold response to critics — this time on WarpCast.
In a recent post, Buterin emphasized the need to make Ethereum Layer 1 (L1) scaling more accessible for users running local nodes on their personal setups. His goal? More decentralization, less reliance on third-party services.
However, this didn’t sit well with Dan Romero, co-founder of Web3 social platform Farcaster.
Romero fired back, calling Buterin’s view outdated and unrealistic. He argued that the idea of widespread personal node operation is a fantasy especially when centralized platforms like Coinbase dominate the sorting and validation process.
In response to the sharp criticism, Vitalik clapped back with a now-viral statement:
"If you don’t like it, sell your ETH."
The drama underscores a growing rift in the Ethereum community — between those pushing for decentralization at all costs, and those calling for more pragmatic, scalable solutions.
