In Buenos Aires, a Russian woman connected to the crypto industry was kidnapped
Oksana Begojeva reported that she and her husband were held tied up for 8 hours, threatened with death, and demanded cryptocurrency.
"We were kidnapped, held in Buenos Aires for 8 hours, tied up, threatened to be killed, with knives... They stole all the crypto they could get to," said the Russian woman.
An infant was left with a nanny, but according to Oksana, the kidnappers intended to take him as well.
Begojeva is the ex-wife of Stanislav Drugalev, a co-founder of the Garantex exchange, who died under mysterious circumstances in Dubai in 2021. His family believes his death may have been violent.
