U.S. judge dismisses fraud charges against Mango Markets attacker

According to a report by Cointelegraph, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian has dismissed the commodity fraud and market manipulation charges against Eisenberg. The judge ruled that the evidence presented at trial was insufficient to support the jury's conclusion that Avraham Eisenberg made significant false statements to Mango Markets. Eisenberg was convicted in April 2024 of telecommunications fraud, commodity fraud, and commodity manipulation for profiting $110 million in 2022 by exploiting vulnerabilities in the decentralized exchange Mango Markets. Previously, U.S. prosecutors sought a sentence of at least 6.5 years in prison for the attacker of Mango Markets.
