WalletConnect is expanding token support to Solana and conducting a 5 million WCT airdrop.
On May 24th, the cross-chain protocol WalletConnect announced that its governance token WCT has officially landed on the Solana network and will airdrop 5 million WCT to active Solana users. This integration marks the commencement of WalletConnect's "multi-chain process," with integrations with more chains already in the process of development. Pedro Gomes, the founder of the WalletConnect Foundation, stated that the protocol is transitioning from "Ethereum-centrism" to a "chain-agnostic protocol," and its in-depth collaboration with the Solana ecosystem has been ongoing for several months.
