The African digital lending platform Carrot completes $4.2 million seed round financing
According to news from Hash World Chain, the African digital lending platform Carrot has recently successfully completed a $4.2 million seed round financing. This round of financing was led by MaC Venture Capital, with participation from Partech Africa and Authentic Ventures. The raised funds will be used to expand the team, grow the business, and develop an AI risk control system. Users of the Carrot platform can use digital financial assets such as stocks and cryptocurrency as collateral to obtain credit. Currently, the platform has issued loans worth $2 million and serves over 10,000 users. Founder Bolu Aiki-Raji pointed out that Carrot addresses the shortcomings of Africa's traditional credit infrastructure by adopting a non-liquidation collateral model.
