♻️ Binance’s CZ Denies WSJ Claims Linking Him to Trump Crypto Deals
Binance co-founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao has strongly denied recent Wall Street Journal allegations that he acted as a “fixer” for crypto projects connected to former President Trump. The WSJ claimed CZ helped introduce key players in a decentralized finance project tied to Trump’s business network and facilitated meetings during foreign trips.
CZ responded on social media, saying, “I am not a fixer for anyone,” and clarified that he met the involved entrepreneur, Bilal bin Saqib, only recently and was not involved in arranging any deals. He called the WSJ article a “hit piece” full of inaccuracies, accusing it of pushing an anti-crypto agenda.
This dispute underscores the growing tension between crypto leaders and traditional media, amid increasing scrutiny of the digital asset industry. CZ’s rebuttal also highlights the challenges crypto faces in gaining mainstream acceptance while navigating political complexities.
