The TON Foundation has launched a new approach to ecosystem support, adopting an internal tiered scoring system.
According to news from Hashlink, the TON Foundation has upgraded its ecosystem support program by adopting an internal tiered scoring system. The new program focuses on five key areas: payments, simplifying DeFi, GameFi, the economic ecosystem within Telegram applications, and AI. All applications will be processed uniformly through the TON Builders Portal. Projects referred to as 'champions' must meet multi-dimensional criteria, such as vertical domain adaptability, ecosystem fit, team experience, financial status, product quality, and user base. In the DeFi sector, while high TVL is advantageous, it is not the only selection criterion. Selected projects will receive priority support, including 100 million guidance tokens. Emerging projects can access a wealth of support programs on the Portal, with support intensity ranked according to internal scores and team capabilities. Different projects may be at different stages of development, with varying growth potentials. Data shows that the number of TON ecosystem projects is expected to increase from 150 to 350 in 2024, with the number of DeFi protocols growing by approximately 500%. The foundation has distributed over $1.5 million in donations and allocated 26 million Toncoin through The Open League. The new system will evaluate projects quarterly and dynamically adjust support levels.
