7 Years of Trading Experience with Cryptocurrency
Hello everyone, I am a post-95, 30 years old, currently living in the United States. After 7 years of experience in the cryptocurrency world, I have grown my initial capital of 200,000 to 20 million. Today, I would like to share some of my trading experiences over these 7 years, hoping to help everyone.
Opportunities in a Bull Market
There are many opportunities in a bull market, but greed will only cause you to lose more. Although the market generally rises, trading is always centered around sectors. When one coin skyrockets, it often drives the entire sector. If you can catch the main upward wave of sector rotation, you can earn wealth beyond your imagination.
Patterns in the Crypto World
Fickle: Always buy new projects and closely follow market trends.
Caution with Contracts: Do not go all in on contracts, and avoid high-leverage contracts. Five times leverage is already the limit.
Cyclical Patterns: The crypto world operates on a four-year cycle; sell all altcoins in a bull market and altcoins may drop 90% in a bear market.
Market Expectations: The crypto world is driven by expectations; once expectations materialize, the positive/negative effects are over.
Choose Reliable Exchanges: For non-large amounts, you can choose well-known exchanges like OKEx; for amounts over 1 million USDT, consider cold wallets.
Trading Strategies
Instead of chasing hot topics, focus on projects/sectors with potential. Hot projects are often fully valued, high risk, and low potential. Smaller sectors with lower market caps and high potential coins may provide higher returns. I recommend diversifying investments by choosing three or four sectors, deploying two coins in each sector, to benefit from the beta returns of leading coins while also capturing the high returns of low market cap coins.
Rhythm of Bear and Bull Markets
A bear market is a period of opportunity accumulation; although the market fluctuates, there is no rush to enter. A bear market usually lasts for about a year; you can increase your positions in the early stages of a bull market, while the end of a bull market is the time to withdraw. During a bear market, use the time to focus on your own projects; do not open positions casually just because of impatience.
The market is full of opportunities, but the key is whether you can seize them. Precise strategies, long-term vision, and choosing the right projects are the secrets to my success. I hope everyone can go further like me through rational operations!
