Zhao Changpeng Responds to WSJ Report, Calls it 'Deliberate Fabrication, Non-News Behavior'

Binance founder Zhao Changpeng (CZ) posted on X platform in response to a recent report by The Wall Street Journal regarding his involvement in the World Liberty Financial project, stating that it was not a real interview but rather a 'malicious fabrication under the guise of questioning,' questioning its role as a 'megaphone for negative narratives.'

Zhao Changpeng cited 'Cunningham's Law' to point out that WSJ, by constructing a false narrative, intended to induce clarification, which violates the spirit of journalistic professionalism. He emphasized that the inquiries submitted by WSJ were filled with 'incorrect and negative assumptions,' such as accusing him of 'connecting' the WLF team and arranging a meeting with Pakistani official Saqib, while the truth is that his first meeting with Saqib was in Pakistan, and he had not been involved in any WLF international itinerary.

He stated frankly, 'When reporting starts from a negative standpoint, the so-called 'correction' is meaningless because the entire story itself is fabricated.' He believes that this incident reflects 'the attempts of certain forces in the United States to suppress the development of the cryptocurrency industry, targeting global cryptocurrency leaders and supportive government positions.' $BNB
