Odaily Planet Daily reported that Binance founder Zhao Changpeng (CZ) responded on the X platform to a recent report by the Wall Street Journal regarding his involvement in the World Liberty Financial project, stating that it was not a real interview, but rather a 'malicious fabrication disguised as a question,' questioning that it has become a 'megaphone for negative narratives.' Zhao Changpeng cited the 'Cunningham's Law,' pointing out that the WSJ aimed to induce clarification by constructing false narratives, which goes against journalistic ethics. He emphasized that the inquiries submitted by the WSJ were filled with 'false and negative assumptions,' such as accusing him of facilitating connections for the WLF team and arranging meetings with Pakistani official Saqib, while the fact is that his first meeting with Saqib was in Pakistan, and he had not been involved in any international itinerary of WLF. He stated bluntly, 'When the reporting starts from a negative position, the so-called 'correction' is meaningless because the entire story itself is fictional.' He believes that this incident reflects 'the attempt of certain forces in the United States to suppress the development of the crypto industry, targeting global crypto leaders and governments that support crypto positions.'
