Binance founder Zhao Changpeng (CZ) responded on the X platform to a recent report by the Wall Street Journal regarding his involvement in the World Liberty Financial project, stating that it was not a real interview, but rather 'malicious fabrication disguised as questioning', questioning that it has degenerated into a 'megaphone for negative narratives.'
Zhao Changpeng quoted the 'Cunningham's Law' stating that the WSJ, by constructing erroneous narrative intentions to induce clarification, violates the spirit of journalistic profession. He emphasized that the inquiries submitted by the WSJ beforehand were filled with 'errors and negative assumptions', such as accusing him of 'facilitating' the WLF team and arranging meetings with Pakistani official Saqib, whereas the fact is that his first meeting with Saqib was in Pakistan, and he had never been involved in any international itinerary of WLF.
He bluntly stated, 'When the reporting starts from a negative stance, the so-called 'correction' is meaningless, because the entire story itself is fabricated.' He believes that this incident reflects 'some forces in the U.S. attempting to suppress the development of the crypto industry, targeting global crypto leaders and governments supporting crypto positions.'
