🇺🇸 A bill titled "Stop TRUMP in Crypto Act" has been introduced in the U.S., aimed at preventing the president and his family from participating in the cryptocurrency business.
It was initiated by Democrat Maxine Waters against the backdrop of a closed gala dinner hosted by Donald Trump with holders of the TRUMP token.
The document prohibits the president, his spouse, children, and their spouses from issuing, promoting, trading, and earning income from cryptocurrencies while he is in office.
Waters stated:
"Trump is dining with investors of his meme coin, including foreign billionaires. Congress cannot ignore this corruption."
The bill has already been supported by 15 Democrats, but no Republicans have joined.
