📢 Important announcement about Telegram in Vietnam

The Vietnamese government has just taken strong action against Telegram. The Telecommunications Department (Ministry of Science and Technology) has requested telecom providers to implement technical measures to block Telegram, following a proposal from the Ministry of Public Security. The deadline for reporting results is before June 2, 2025.

According to the Ministry of Public Security:

• As many as 68% of Telegram groups/channels in Vietnam contain harmful content.

• Telegram is related to scams worth over 1 trillion VND, affecting 13,000 users.

• This application does not comply with Decree 147/2024 and has been ranked as the "least cooperative" by Interpol.

🇻🇳 Some countries like Spain, China, Russia... have also restricted or banned Telegram for similar reasons.

🎯 We need to prepare:

• Backup all important data on Telegram: documents, messages, channels/groups.

• Join backup groups on other platforms like Discord, Zalo, Signal.

• If you need to continue using Telegram, you can use a VPN, but consider the legal and security factors.
