🔥 Ethereum Holds Strong Above $2,500 — But Will It Follow Bitcoin’s Lead?

After Bitcoin reached a new all-time high over $111K, the crypto market looks to be entering a new period of momentum that might fuel significant altcoin gains. Ethereum remains crucial.
Technically, Daan noted that ETH has been stabilizing between $2,400 and $2,600 since its latest squeeze upward. Despite Bitcoin's surge, Ethereum is again underperforming, as seen by the cooling ETH/BTC ratio. Traders are waiting for ETH to catch up and lead the upcoming altseason.
Bulls have defended the $2,500 zone, but ETH has yet to break out, Daan said. Clearing $2,850 would signal a technical change toward higher highs. If ETH goes below $2,100, a further decline may occur. Market optimism is building, keeping ETH range-bound yet poised.
The 4-hour chart shows Ethereum trading around $2,668, indicating fresh strength. After weeks of stabilization in the $2,400–$2,600 range, ETH has approached the top border, suggesting a breakthrough.
To confirm a breakthrough and imply a continuation into higher resistance at $2,850 and beyond, ETH must break over $2,700 decisively. Sellers defend this level despite several tests. Failure to maintain present levels might push ETH back near its prior support, while a breakthrough could send it to $3,000.
