We learned that a smart contract from Cetus was hacked this morning, with an estimated value of around 223 million US dollars, prompting Cetus to temporarily halt its smart contracts to prevent further theft.
Cetus has collaborated with other decentralized finance protocols, the Sui Foundation, and Sui investigators to collectively protect the ecosystem.
A large number of investigators have identified the addresses containing the stolen funds, and transactions to those addresses are being ignored until further notice.
The Cetus team is exploring ways to recover those funds and return them to the Cetus community. Cetus will release a report on the incident soon.
