(You fell into the greedy trap, but stay here 😡)

I was looking at the posts on Binance Square yesterday and saw someone with the "great idea" of buying all the cryptocurrencies from the exchange. At first glance, it seems tempting, right? After all, it’s not uncommon to see a coin rise 70% in 3 days, sometimes even in a shorter time frame.

What you might forget is that the opposite is also true, I would even say more likely, thinking about this, I had the brilliant idea to simulate this, but I wasn’t going to open the chart of 300 coins and see what would happen, so I did something basic, I took the chart of $BTC (after all, other cryptos tend to follow it like dogs behind their owner), placed the 14-period RSI on the daily chart and looked for the first positive candle after it fell below the oversold level (30), on 02/27/2025.

Having done that, I took the 50 coins with the highest average volume in the last 90 days and "bought" 1000 dollars (the amount doesn’t matter) in all of them, on that same day at 12:00.

Result, if I had held all the coins, +7%, approximately.

So is it worth doing this? 🥺🥺 Not exactly, note that in almost 3 months your portfolio is almost at the break-even point (zero to zero), so reflect: is it worth the risk of losing all capital to gain 2 months of fixed income?

Is the idea trash then? Not really, something that might, MAYBE, greatly improve the potential would be to follow the criteria I used with BTC (wait for the oversold moment, then a buy candle) for each of the coins and ALWAYS realize part of the profits (75% for example) when it reached a +30% gain and then protect the rest at zero to zero, or set a trailing stop and let the market work.

I personally wouldn’t do this because managing 50 assets is tough, if 5 is hard imagine 10x kkkkkkkkk, I just wanted to test the idea and I confess I was surprised by the result.

Note: I will keep the simulated portfolio and let’s see the result.
