Telegram has brought in annual profit for the first time. It amounted to $540 million.
For the year 2024, revenue increased to $1.4 billion compared to $343 million the previous year. The majority of the income came from mini-apps within Telegram. Premium subscriptions generated $292 million, and advertising — $250 million.
This year, Telegram plans to increase profit to $720 million and revenue by another 46%, to $2 billion.
