🚨❗❗❗ The CETUS cryptocurrency exchange is under attack: hackers have withdrawn more than $200 million!
Today, the cryptocurrency world was shaken by the news of the hack of the decentralized exchange CETUS, operating on the Sui blockchain. According to preliminary data, the attackers withdrew between $150 and $260 million, leading to a collapse in the prices of most tokens in the Sui ecosystem by 70-90%.
The hackers attacked the liquidity pools, withdrawing $11 million from the SUI/USDC pool, which triggered an immediate drop in token values. The native token CETUS fell in price by 36% in just two hours. The project team has already suspended the smart contract and is conducting an investigation.
"The situation is unpleasant," noted Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, adding that they are doing everything possible to assist SUI.
