The bill to establish a legal framework for managing stablecoins (GENIUS Act) has just passed the "motion to proceed", allowing the U.S. Senate 🇺🇸 to begin reviewing the bill.

The bill is currently entering the amendment stage, negotiating key terms.

Since the Cloture vote (to end debate) passed 2 days ago, the Senate can now end debate or block any delaying tactics, and proceed to a final vote when ready.

If the bill is passed by the Senate, it will be sent to the House of Representatives. If everything goes smoothly, the bill will be ready for President Trump to sign into law.
